Vale do Lobo Resort
Golf
Former host to the European Tour Portuguese Open in 2002-2003, Vale do Lobo is home to two of the most challenging and stunningly beautiful golf courses in Europe. Vale do Lobo's Ocean Golf Course, is situated on the very edge of the coastline and allows golfers to tee-off alongside some of the most incredible ocean views in the Algarve. Based on original concepts by the legendary late Sir Henry Cotton and re-developed by respected American Golf Architect, Rocky Roquemore, the Royal and the Ocean tests a golfer's game like few courses can. These enviable golf facilities, combined with the Algarve's excellent climate, a choice of outstanding property, 2 km of sandy beach and a selection of fine restaurants, make Vale do Lobo the perfect destination for a holiday or year round golfing lifestyle. The acclaimed Royal Golf Course is also stunning, with undulating fairways set amidst pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wild flowers, offering glorious views across Vale do Lobo and far beyond. The famous 16th hole, a cliff-top par 3, is not only a unique challenge, but one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world.

Royal Golf Course
The Royal Golf Course, set amongst lakes and lush vegetation, takes players through pine and fig tree bordered fairways, then surprises with exhilarating sea views.
A par 72 course, this superb test includes three demanding par 3 holes. One of these is the magnificent cliff-top 16th hole. Originally the 7th hole, this has a spectacular carry over the russet cliffs and is one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world. Club Facilities
Club House
The Club House at Parque do Golfe provides a natural focus for both golf courses, in addition to being a convenient stopping-off point after nine holes on the Ocean course. All the facilities one might expect are in place, including buggy hire, a branch of the highly-renowned golf store Nevada Bob's, a modern and well-equipped gym and sports physiotherapist specialising in golf injuries, plus three cafés and restaurants. A fourth refreshment pit-stop for golfers is the Café Royal, conveniently situated at the ninth hole and mid-way point on the Royal course. A catering trolley also tours both courses to refresh players on the move.
Golf Academy
Located at Parque do Golfe, Vale do Lobo's Golf Academy features excellent practise facilities which are used by Vale do Lobo's Professionals in their Tour preparation, including netted driving area and short game practice area. The Golf Academy's facilities also include two putting greens and individual or group lessons for all ages by appointment with the Resident Professional Steve Walker.
Putting Green
Vale do Lobo's two putting greens, which are located at the central Parque do Golfe area, are pleasing to the eye and unusual - in that they feature striking outdoor sculptures. Such a setting in beautifully sculpted grounds means that the greens are an inspiring place to practise on, offering stimulation for the mind as well as providing ample scope to sharpen up one's game.
